Pioneers of Flight was a feature in Doctor Who Annual 1969. It referred to Leonardo da Vinci, Montgolfier brothers, Wright Brothers, Charles Lindburgh, Alcock, Brown, Frank Whittle, Charles Yeager, and Yuri Gagarin.
