Peter Miles (29 August 1928-26 February 2018[1]) has appeared three times on Doctor Who. His best-known appearance is probably as Nyder in Genesis of the Daleks. He also appeared as Dr Charles Lawrence in Doctor Who and the Silurians and as Professor Whitaker in Invasion of the Dinosaurs. Other Doctor Who appearances include the BBC Radio 5 Doctor Who audio drama The Paradise of Death and a role as a BBC executive in the fan parody video, The Few Doctors. He also voiced a number of character for several Doctor Who-related audio dramas for Big Finish, BBV and Magic Bullet Productions, including reprising the role of Nyder in Guilt, the fourth story of I, Davros (which is chronologically set shortly before Genesis of the Daleks).

He also shared his memories of his three Doctor Who TV stories on the stories' DVD commentaries, the 225th edition of the charity podcast series Toby Hadoke's Who's Round and the documentaries Genesis of a Classic, Davros Connections, What Lies Beneath, Going Underground and People, Power and Puppetry.
