This article needs a big cleanup.

It's unclear what's wrong with the article, because the editor who placed this tag here didn't enumerate the page's problems.

These problems might be so great that the article's factual accuracy has been compromised. Talk about it here or check the revision history or Manual of Style for more information.

This article needs an in-universe perspective.

It currently has too much of a real-world perspective. It may also be written primarily in the present tense. Please check the overall content against our Manual of Style, consult the talk page and revision history for any relevant notes, employ the past tense, and then remove this message.

The Cracks are a running theme and arc of series five of Doctor Who. According to Prisoner Zero, the cracks are in the skin of the universe. The pattern of the Cracks is always the same, and the cause remains unknown. When discussing the cracks with Prisoner Zero, the Doctor stated that somebody must have opened the cracks; when asked if he knew what the cause was, the Doctor remained silent; whether he didn't know or wouldn't say is uncertain.

List of Cracks

There have been a few cracks in the fifth series of Doctor Who.

  • The first crack can be seen on a Doctor Who Series Five poster behind Amy and The Doctor.
  • The Eleventh Hour had two cracks in the episode. The first was on Amy Pond's bedroom wall, which soon opened up to another area in the universe - an Atraxi prison. The second was seen on the TARDIS monitor, which the Doctor looked at briefly and worringly before switching it off. This could be an indication of the TARDIS warning the Doctor, or it could indicate that he knows something about them.
  • The Beast Below showed one large crack, which was seen on the side of the Starship UK, a space ship inhabited by the residents of the United Kingdom.
  • On a clip showing Vampires in Venice, The Doctor looked into a mirror. On the mirror can be seen a crack. Cracks on a mirror mean bad luck, this could also be part of it.
