Rajesh Singh
Doctor Rajesh Singh was a top researcher at the Torchwood Institute, assigned to research and monitor the Void Ship at the time of his death in 2007. He had undergone psychic training upon entering Torchwood, and was able to see through the psychic paper's illusions, and thus foil Rose's attempt to gather information.
Singh was intelligent and generally pleasant, although also fairly direct and task-oriented. He seemed more annoyed by Rose's infiltration than concerned, though when the Daleks emerged from the Void Ship, he realized the gravity of what Torchwood had been doing. He claimed personal responsibility for allowing it to happen, and even volunteered to be 'used' by the Daleks for information gathering, though he did not realize it would lead to his death. Their information probes were so fierce that it nearly vaporized his head, and it is unsure how long it took before he actually died. (DW: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday)
It is currently unknown what, if any, other projects he worked on for Torchwood, except for understanding the physiology of the Dogon race. (torchwood.org.uk)
