"The Beast Below" was a musical piece composed by Murray Gold.
It was first used in the Series 5 episode The Beast Below (which it is named after) where the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond fall through a rubbish dump which they later find out was the mouth of a star whale.
The piece was used in several next time trailers throughout series 5 to 8 such as The Angels Take Manhattan and The Crimson Horror, both in series 7 and was last featured in the next time trailer for Into the Dalek in series 8.
The piece is featured in Murray Gold's soundtrack Doctor Who: Series 5.
