Name

Not only is this Master in need of a page name (unless you believe in using disambiguation terms), he's in need of one to be consistently referred to at all. Across the wiki and even his own page, I've seen him referred to by three names: "Reborn Master", "Bald Master", and "Fourteenth Master".

I think "Reborn" is the way to go. Macqueen is notably the first incarnation in the renewed regeneration cycle. Also, "the Reborn Master" is Big Finish's behind-the-scenes name for him, so not only is it a good description, but an official one. Personally I'd lend it more credence than some of the others (looking at you, ""Movie Master") because he is a Big Finish-original incarnation. Furthermore, the other two options are not great. Not only is "Bald" is just kind of silly, especially among the other names; while he is bald I would't say it's a defining feature, and for that matter DWM's "Preacher" Master is also bald. "Fourteenth Master" is dubious because of the various stolen bodies and reversions to the Decayed Master. Trying to prescribe numbers beyond the initial iteration of the Decayed Master is a fool's errand. Chubby Potato 08:57, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

I concur with naming him the Reborn Master for the reasons you list above. Also, because it's a damn cool name. TheSpaghetOutcast 09:05, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

Is it explicit that Macqueen is the first incarnation in the renewed regeneration cycle, ie that he hadn't regenerated between his rebirth and the events of Dominion? – n8 () 14:49, 12 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm in agreement with TheSpaghetOutcast and ChubbyPotato, due to their rationale above. I also think it works as a name, regardless of whether or not he's the first incarnation of a renewed cycle (and we can come back to this name discussion if a future source explicitly retcons/alters it at some point?) Re: Nate. Day of the Master, which depicts the Master's "rebirth", strongly implies that the Dominion Master is indeed the first. Though we do not see or rather hear the new Master after the post-Bruce Decaying Master regenerates, Missy uses the Reborn Master's oft used phrase "Hello, you." to greet him, indicating that it is the Macqueen incarnation. It's pretty explicit he's the direct successor to the post-Mastermind Decayed Master (See:Day of the Master (audio story)). Reborn is also used in the behind the scenes of Masterful to refer to this incarnation. TheSpaghetOutcast 15:36, 12 January 2023 (UTC)
