Neil' mother was annoyed at the new coach at Coal Hill School for not taking responsibility for Neil's burns whilst he was in his charge. She told Ram Singh not to feel guilty for Neil's actions and that his limp had gone. She wanted to raise money to help fund Neil's plastic surgery privately.
