Mark, formerly known as John Crichton, was a British athlete who jumped 2.6362 metres in one of the Olympic Games.
Biography
Mark was one of the people selected by Sir Charles Grover to colonise New Earth, along with Ruth and Adam.
When Sarah Jane Smith convinced them that they were not aboard a spacecraft at all,. (TV: Invasion of the Dinosaurs), Mark, Ruth and Adam confronted Grover and the scientist Whitaker who accidentally sent themselves into the past.
Behind the scenes
- In Malcolm Hulke's novelisation of the story, Mark is mentioned by Sarah as having run the three-minute mile rather than being an Olympic athlete.
