Amy's Choice[2] is the seventh episode of Series 5.

Synopsis

Amy Pond finds herself caught up in a world with danger and adventure round every corner, with the mysterious Dream Lord waiting. But everything depends on Amy to make the biggest decision of her life. Dreams have never been more real.

"It’s five years since Amy and Rory travelled with the Doctor. They’re back living in Leadworth, and Amy is pregnant. Rory has grown a ponytail. Life is good, if a little humdrum. Until the Doctor drops by for a visit.

And then they wake up. In the TARDIS, the Doctor, Amy and Rory have had exactly the same dream. But the TARDIS has died, and it’s drifting towards a cold star- just 14 minutes till impact! If they don’t freeze to death.

And then they wake up. Two worlds: one in the time machine, one in the village that time forgot. One real, the other fake. “You’re home. You’re also dreaming. Trouble is, Rory, Amy… which is which?” Their lives depend on making the right choice. But time is running out…"

  • Amy will be pregnant [3]
  • Two strange pictures for this episode have been released, one showing several pensioners who appear to be trying to remove the TARDIS from a garden, and another one showing an old lady with an axe, as if ready to attack someone. http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/amys-choice-4876.htm

Rumours

  • It is rumoured that the Skarkish will appear.
File:TOBY JONES DREAMLORD.png
Toby Jones as the supposed Eleventh Doctor (Dream Lord)
  • The 'Dream Lord' is rumoured to pretend to be the Doctor because of a shot of him inside the TARDIS wearing the Eleventh Doctor's costume in the trailer.
  • Because of Simon Nye's involvement, this may be a comedic episode in the same vein as The Unicorn and the Wasp.
  • When teasing the new series, Steven Moffat mentioned a character he called 'The Dream Lord,' this character could possibly make an appearance, as the episode deals with a strange dream.
  • Others theorise that the 'Dream Lord' might be The Trickster, once more attempting to cause chaos by manipulating events.
  • It is likely that this shall serve as the Series' Doctor-lite episode similar to Turn Left in the 2008 episode, to mirror the Companion-lite eleventh episode
  • Aunt Sharon will appear.
  • Blue Peter did a competition earlier in the year to design-a-TARDIS console. This episode could be where the designed console room is used, as it was "apparently" to be used in "some shape or form"
