Tom Carlton was an American who married Gwen Carlton after her first husband had died. Tom had a troubled relationship with Gwen's son, Liam Jarrow. Tom died when he went to visit his dentist, Charles Rigby, who was being used as a host for a hive of wasps. The wasps attacked Tom and forced their way inside him via his mouth.
