Melanie Baal was the name of an Earth Reptile/human hybrid from an alternative reality. Her existence demonstrated that a mating between the two species' was possible. She was the alternative dimensional version of Melanie Bush. (PROSE: Spiral Scratch) In this dimension, her father was Silurian/Sea Devil scientist Baal D'jo, who met the Third Doctor during his time with UNIT. (PROSE: The Scales of Injustice)
