Welcome to Wikicities. It looks like you've made a great start already. However, one problem is that you were claiming on Tardis:About that the content was under a Creative Commons license, when all Wikicities are actually under the GNU Free Documentation License. This isn't (yet) compatible with the CC. Also, the GFDL does allow commercial re-use of the content, so you can't add restrictions like non-commercial-use-only to this wiki. Please see Wikicities:Wikicities copyrights for details. I hope this isn't a problem for you. Angela 10:12, 17 Feb 2005 (GMT)

Hello again. Please reconsider the protection of pages here at this early stage. It is likely to be off-putting to users if the first page they see is not even editable. Wikicities:Protection states that page protection is for highly vandalised pages, and since no vandalism has ever occured here, I don't see a need to start locking things down already. Lots to do, where to begin?

Hello, Freethinker! I'm so glad that someone has started a Doctor Who Wiki. I've been fiddling about on Memory Alpha for a while, and had been thinking that it would be great if there were a similar site for Doctor Who. Looks like you thought the same thing! (I probably would have called it "Amplified Panatropic Computer Network", since like the Matrix a Wiki is composed of the wisdom of its members, and also since I tend to prefer the Holmes to the Bidmead... but I'm not complaining!)

So what do you think should be the first order of business? Creating a structure for users, or filling in things like episodes? How do we develop conventions on things like episode citation (which is a mess at MA, in my opinion)? Should we get a start on pages like the Doctor or Gallifrey, or is it more important to have more developed Help pages? Heck, should I ask these questions here or in the (currently blank) Community Portal? So many questions... :) --Josiah Rowe 04:40, 22 Feb 2005 (GMT)

Moving pages

Hello, you might want to consider moving pages rather than copying them to a new title and then deleting the old one. There is a 'move tab at the top of each article. For example, you could have moved List of television serials to List of television stories, which would have left an automatic redirect, meaning anyone who had bookmarked the original page would be able to find the new page more easily. See Wikicities:Help:Moving pages. Angela 17:00, 23 Feb 2005 (GMT)
