On 5 October 1930, shortly after its rendezvous with a Triskele spaceship, the British airship R101 was attacked by a Vortisaur and crashed on its maiden flight into the fields of northern France. All aboard were presumed killed. Unknown to the general public, eighteen-year-old stowaway Charlotte Pollard escaped aboard the Eighth Doctor's TARDIS.
