Captain (Wild Blue Yonder)
A captain was a member of an equine-looking species and the captain of a spaceship at the Edge of Creation.
Following an expedition to discover what lies beyond the known universe, she discovered the not-things, which was a discovery so horrifying that it led her to install a mechanism in her incredibly large spaceship that would slowly reconfigure it into a bomb, and had a robot installed to an incredibly slow walk towards the activation button as well as a very slow countdown to self-destruction. This would ensure that the monsters she had found would not understand what she had done. She then opened an air-lock on her spaceship and jumped out into the nothingness, killing herself.
Three years on, when the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble arrived, her corpse had been caught in the gravity field around the spaceship, causing her spacesuit to collide with the ship and create a banging noise.
