Gaznak was a peaceful female Sontaran on Salvation Nine. She was the currently leader of the tribe during the current month as part of the rota. She showed him the rituals around their feeding rituals calling it the Earthing process. After the Ninth Doctor learnt about the history of the moon, she showed her their birthing grounds.
