The Wooden Queen
The Wooden Queen was form taken on by the life force of an Androzani tree to ensure the safety of her forest, like her counterpart the Wooden King.
History
When Madge Arwell was used as a lifeboat to save the trees' life force and travelled through the Time Vortex back to 1941, the Wooden Queen and King's bodies reverted to ordinary wood. (TV: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe [+]Loading...["The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe (TV story)"]
Characteristics
The King, like the Queen was mute. However, she was able to communicate by touching a person's neck and using that person's vocal chords. She presumably grew from what looked like a Christmas tree bauble, from which the Wooden King hatched like a bird from an egg. (TV: The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe [+]Loading...["The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe (TV story)"]) She was a "compassionate" and "nurturing" figure who "embodie[d] the wonders of the forest".
