Amy and Rory Leaving

According to the BBC, Moff has confirmed their exit in series 7:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-16207688

Can someone update the article?

It's already on the page. MM/Want to talk? 18:26, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

Christmas Special

This page really needs to be updated to reflect the fact that the Christmas Special has already aired. The article still refers to it as if it were a future event.Mandalore74 talk to me 03:06, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

writers

There should be a space between "writer" and "John Fay"

The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe

Why is The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe stated as part of Series 7? The citation that leads to http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/tag/series-7 doesn't say anything about this episode being part of Series 7.

I think soemone has misunderstood what the article means. I'm pretty sure A Christmas Carol is part of Series 5 and The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe is part of Series 6.

From Steven Moffat's wording it seems Series 7 will have it's own Christmas special. I would urge someone to fic this error.

The Christmas Carol was released with Series 6 on DVD. 214.13.69.132talk to me 11:59, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

No. No. No. No. No. No. Wrong! Think about for a minute. No, I'll just explain it. Every single time there has been a Christmas Special (not counting the final Tenth Doctor episodes), it has always been part of the next season. So, it looks like this one will have TWO instead. Pretty simple. (173.167.179.77talk to me 01:01, May 18, 2012 (UTC))

Episode Math

So... I'm a bit confused. We were told the 14 episodes would include DWW (as it says in this very article), but the recent companion revelation includes mention of the first half of this series having 6 episodes and the second having 8, meaning 15 episodes. Now, that said, they said eight for that year, which could even mean the second 2013 series premiere. Any thoughts? d · 20:35, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

Going by this page, made after The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe's transmission, I'd say it's 14 PLUS Wardrobe. Apart from The Next Doctor and The End of Time 1, Christmas specials are rarely numbered with the series. -- Tybort (talk page) 21:35, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Am I right about this? I don't think any publicity has counted The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe as one of the 14 episodes. -- Tybort (talk page) 16:22, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

BBC Trailer

Just wondering why my details of the trailer were deleted. A reason wasn't given? Geek Mythology talk to me 12:17, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

I meant to actually leave you a message about it, I am sorry. It would be better, rather than describe the trailer, to add the trailer from the BBC You Tube channel. It seems rather redundant and pointless to describe what and who was in the trailer. MM/Want to talk? 12:34, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I did put the link in the reference so that people could goand watch it for themselves. (I linked to BBC.co.uk, any difference from youtube?)

Geek Mythology talk to me 12:41, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

I know you did, but it will still be best to add the Youtube video. If you remember with Series 6, we add the BBC and BBC America trailers. However, they are removed now due to their size causing trouble with the page. However, when BBC upload to their Youtube channel, feel free to add it. MM/Want to talk? 12:48, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

Aliens and Enemies

Somebody mind sprucing it up a bit? Daleks and Weeping Angels are comfirmed, so why not begin a proper list, eh? (173.167.179.77talk to me 22:21, April 2, 2012 (UTC))

It is a proper list. MM/Want to talk? 22:23, April 2, 2012 (UTC)
Can you add a link to the pages for each of those? 214.13.69.132talk to me 06:03, April 9, 2012 (UTC)
No. It would encourage Users to add the fact they are appearing in series 7 to their pages, which would be a spoiler, thus violating the spoiler policy. MM/Want to talk? 09:21, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

Episode 5

Uh, in case some haven't noticed, this will be the first time that a companion change has happened in the middle of a season since Planet of Fire in Season 21 of the original series. Shouldn't there be an additional line saying "First mid-season companion change since 1984"? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.167.179.77 (talk).

What about The God Complex/Closing Time. Karen and Arthur are top billed for whatever reason, but they're definitely not companions during Closing Time. -- Tybort (talk page) 16:22, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Uh, they're still credited and appear? It really didn't seem like they left during the previous season, and as for Closing Time, it seemed more like a companion-lite episode much like The Lodger. Stand to reason right? If they're still credited, they count. And, litteraly, that didn't count as a companion change. Looking at this season, it introduces a NEW companion instead of using the ones already known.(173.167.179.77talk to me 22:20, April 2, 2012 (UTC))

Jenna

Speaking of the new companion, why does Jenna-Louise Coleman not have a page yet? Digifiend 21:44, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Cause it's against the spoiler policy. It's premature. MM/Want to talk? 21:48, April 8, 2012 (UTC)

Divorce?

Is Twitter considered a reliable source? Should that even be on there? Anybody could have easily created those documents. Shouldn't that "rumor" be revoved? 214.13.69.132talk to me 06:06, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

When the Fall portion of the Season start?

A lot of us fans are getting confused in trying to figure out when the final five adventures with Amy and Rory are going to air. Is it five weeks before Christmas or sooner? (173.167.179.77talk to me 23:03, April 24, 2012 (UTC))

We don't HAVE airdates more specific than "episodes 1-5 autumn", "Christmas special on 25 December" and "episodes 7-14 spring". -- Tybort (talk page) 00:11, April 25, 2012 (UTC)

2013?

A bit confused here. Is the second half of the series going to include a 50th aniversay special? (173.167.179.77talk to me 23:03, April 24, 2012 (UTC))

We don't really know. Moffat and company are playing their cards very close to their chests on the subject of the 50th anniversary. It's probably safe to assume that there will be some sort of special in November 2013, but so far we don't know what it will be, whether it'll be part of Series 7, part of Series 8, or a stand-alone special, or even whether it'll be an episode or a documentary or something else. —Josiah Rowe talk to me 23:22, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

The 50th anniversary itself is a Saturday, so it would cause adverse comment (to put it mildly) if there were not an episode on the day. That doesn't mean, of course, that there couldn't be other celebrations, too, either on that date or at other times during the year. --89.242.69.1talk to me 23:38, April 24, 2012 (UTC)

I'm guessing there MIGHT be a re-run of An Unearthly Child or SOMETHING like that, maybe a documentary? There's not been any talk of a special episode. Anyway, we're getting off-topic. This is about the article, remember. Someone should probably put something up when or if there is news, but I'm sure there was something Moffat said in the interview with Brilliant Book 2012. --80.1.222.41talk to me 13:31, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

Previously BBC 2 had 'Star Trek Night' and 'Red Dwarf Night' on their 30th and 10th anniversarys, broadcasting special episodes, documentaries, interviews etc. Admittedly this was a long time ago, but considering Doctor who is a) made by the BBC, b) it's flagship and most internationally renowned show, and c) possibly the only franchise still in production celebrating a 50th anniversary, I cannot imagine that there will not be more than just a 'special' episode. Even if it is not made by Moffat and co, or even BBC Wales, how can there not be a huge celebration? Geek Mythology talk to me 18:02, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

Steven Moffat has now said there will be at least one special, and hinted to multiple. --82.22.173.8talk to me 11:34, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

What? ALL of them?

It says ALL of the past Daleks are going to show up! Is that even possible? Aren't those props/costumes gone now or at least too damaged to use? (173.167.179.77talk to me 01:04, May 18, 2012 (UTC))

At least some of them have been borrowed from fans — including Russell T Davies! — who have purchased and restored the old Dalek casings. —Josiah Rowe talk to me 14:00, June 20, 2012 (UTC)

A new Christmas Special Writer?

Is Steven Moffat not writing the Christmas special this year? Shocking! On the other hand, if he is like RTD always did, why not just put his name in the Writer box for the 2012 Christmas special? (173.167.179.77talk to me 01:07, May 18, 2012 (UTC))

No Story Arc this time?

Just because there's no two parters, does that mean no Arc this season?

There's *always* an arc. Whether it is clear from the start or not. -- Faithful Companion 10:20, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
The story arc will (almost definately) be based on "The Ultimate Question" as mentioned in the season 6 finale. Geek Mythology talk to me 17:58, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

More rumours

One rumor I found is that episode 3 will be called cubed. Also, apparently unit will appear in it. Could someone add cubed to episode 3 as a working title, and unit will appear in episode 3 as a rumor? Thanks. -114.76.1.117

We're trying to limit the rumors to those which have been reported in media outlets we can cite. Do you have a source for those ones? —Josiah Rowe talk to me 14:03, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
Yea, I have the source. Sorry about the late reply, I wasn't checking this page enough. : http://doctorwhotv.co.uk/series-7-cubed-spoilers-33940.htm -
DWTV is not a reliable source. It needs to be a proper, official media source, newspaper, news website (The Sun, The Scotsman, Digital Spy etc) etc and not a fan website. DWTV are basing this of a random person's Twitter, which is not allowed. DWTV stuff should only be as a temporary source. MM/Want to talk? 00:23, July 1, 2012 (UTC)

Well, thanks for telling me this on such short notice. I will avoid posting DWTV links from now on. -114.76.1.117

Episode length, 60 mins?

Just wondering if anyone has noticed, or has an opinion on all of the Series 7 episodes being listed as 60 mins on sites like imdb, when all other regular season episodes are listed at about 45 mins. Usually it is only the specials that clock in at 60 mins isn't it? - JCWHenwood talk to me 14:56, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

No opinion (I'm not as tuned in to spoilers and the like this year as I sometimes have been in the past, so for all I know it's true), but we shouldn't say anything about it here until and unless it's reported in a reliable source, which IMDb isn't. (Anyone can add material there.) —Josiah Rowe talk to me 02:47, July 9, 2012 (UTC)
On some channels (that use commercials) all regular episodes are 60 mins. The imdb source may be referring to that.

New Companion?

Apparently, after Amy and Rory leave, a new companion is replacing them. One, is this true and two, is her name Jasmine????? Signed: Duncs Kinnear-swift

Once a companion leaves, they will ALWAYS be a new one replacing them. In this case, nothing is known about her (other than who plays her, and she will first be seen in the Christmas Special)Geek Mythology talk to me 18:16, July 16, 2012 (UTC)

Announcement of the series in 2011

The Doctor Who website's news feed only goes back to January 2012, meaning that the link announcing series 7 in 2011 doesn't work. Is there somewhere else which archives news from before then? -- Tybort (talk page) 20:40, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

The same problem is in all of the citations under #Producers. -- Tybort (talk page) 21:58, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Should "Pond life" be added to the list of episodes above Asylum of the Daleks? The Light6 06:56, August 25, 2012 (UTC)

Rumors regarding "The 3 Doctors"

While it's likely not worth writing about, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant both mentioned that they'd like to return for the 50th anniversary. While it is all just conjure at this point, could this mean a possible Multi-Doctor episode? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 92.22.46.14 (talk).
