Bliss was close to her grandfather.

Biography

Bliss's grandfather was the one who suggested her name. (AUDIO: State of Bliss) He lived with Bliss and her mother in Central City on Derilobia (AUDIO: The Lords of Terror) and regularly brought Bliss presents from the Derilobia Spaceport lost and found, including a Gosset Stone and a number of toy frogs. They collected sand shells together. (AUDIO: Salvage)

In one timeline in which Derilobia was ruled by the Time Lords, Bliss's mother and grandfather worked in factories. In another, Bliss studied at Derilobia University rather than Luna as she did not want to leave her grandfather, worrying about a condition with his brain. In a timeline in which Bliss applied to and was accepted by Luna, she tried to call her grandfather from the Moon, but he did not recognise her and told her that he had lost his only granddaughter a long time before. (AUDIO: State of Bliss)

When Bliss returned to Derilobia after joining the Eighth Doctor, she found that her house had been destroyed and that, in this timeline, her mother and grandfather were dead or had never existed. (AUDIO: The Lords of Terror) She later observed her possible pasts using the TARDIS's telepathic circuits and saw her grandfather with the Doctor's appearance. (AUDIO: State of Bliss)

Personality

Bliss's grandfather enjoyed eating rizerfruit. (AUDIO: State of Bliss)
