Jaques (Call for the Dead)
Jaques was a geologist and surveyor. He told Elliot King that you couldn't mine the Swenyo. He thought that Callous was a dying world. He made pots as an artistic endeavour. 10 years later he still didn't believe on the viability of the mine, but helped him[who?] install mining robots, whilst working in the mind.[statement unclear] He didn't think the Swenyo wanted to be mined. He found Elliot's body after he committed suicide. He tried to persuade Cassandra King not to continue mining. He was delighted at the mine becoming profitable. He asked for his founders share back.[statement unclear] the War Master knew of his past indiscretions and how he betrayed his lover to come to Callous. He committed suicide after this conversation.
