Forum:Why Christopher Eccleston left...
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.
So Christopher Eccleston recently revealed why he really left Doctor Who after one series; the reason being working conditions. Does anyone know any more info about this? And what's your opinion? The full article is here, please read the full thing before commenting. The Thirteenth Doctor 20:20, June 15, 2010 (UTC)
I'm sort of glad they included the full "culture" remark, it does shed a little more light on exactly what he had meant by that. The BBC website included a carefully edited version of it, almost as if they wanted the fan base to jump to the wrong conclusion. But I would love to know what exactly was going on there that was so bad, Pantohorse 10:03, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- And the fact he said the crew had to suffer whatever it is as well. The Thirteenth Doctor 10:27, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
- No disrespect to Christopher Ecclestone, but he does seem to take his craft a little more seriously than the average actor. As far as we know it could eventually turn out to be something trivial, like John Barrowman continually singing show tunes. But if that were the case I might even consider giving up a dream role :D Pantohorse 10:40, June 16, 2010 (UTC)
