The Alliance mentioned that they used Amy's memories to set the trap for the doctor. However, I think there might be something more than that.

The doctor mentioned that the reason he took Amy to travel with him is that her life didnt make any sense. Plus, back in TEH, when she told him her name was Amelia Pond, he said that it's like a name in a fairy tale. What could that possibly mean? Amy's whole life, including her name, is just some kind of invention to put the doctor in this trap, not only her memories.. 91.73.110.6 23:38, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Moffat's The Curse of Fatal Death demonstrated his ability to have the Doctor and the Master outthink and pre-empt each other's traps and escapes. So either the Doctor, or a Doctor, may have manipulated the building of the Pandorica to put in something that will in some way, benefit any future prisoners.
