Acumancy

Acumancy was a form of magic based on the use of pins. Miss Garglespike was an unprecedentedly powerful user of acumancy. She wore a veritable armour of pins on her jacket, and most of her decorative pins could be un-shrunken to turn into various magical weapons or other powerful objects, from the Isari Revised Dictionary 1978 to a literal firebird spewing napalm from its wings. One of her most powerful pins was a "portable sunset", able to create a hundred-metre-tall dome of night-time around her for a few minutes, a great boon for a vampire in an emergency.
