Solomon (king)

King Solomon, also known as Solomon the Wise, was a monarch who, according to the Roman Gemellus, was the son of King David.

Jewish scholars believed that the Messiah would be a descendant of Solomon's, and would be born in Bethlehem. When Jesus of Nazareth fit this criteria, a small sub-sect of Judaism called Christianity was formed; they maintained that Jesus was the aforementioned Messiah, their saviour. (PROSE: Byzantium! Behind the scenes

The coronation anthem "Zadok the Priest" refers to the anointing of Solomon as king by Zadok. This, however, has not been explicitly stated in DWU sources.
