The Mediterranean Sea is a sea between Africa and Europe. In A.D. 64 Ian Chesterton is taken as a slave and put on a slave ship travelling across the Mediterranean Sea, but it subsequently is damaged in rough seas and breaks up, allowing him to escape. (DW: The Romans)
