TARDIS Index File, the Doctor Who wiki is a product of contributor's contributions, each bringing something different to the wiki, researching skills, writing skills, coding skills, or most importantly, a willingness to help.

You can find specific policies and other pages relating to the writing and editing on this wiki on the help page.

Edit wars

An edit war occurs when editors who disagree about the content of a page repeatedly override each other's contributions, rather than trying to resolve the disagreement by discussion on the article's talk page or in the Forums. Edit warring is unconstructive and creates animosity between editors, making it harder to reach a consensus. Users who engage in edit wars risk being blocked. Other measures will also include the page or pages in question being fully protected to prevent any editing until the issue is resolved.

If an article is fully protected a topic will be started by the admin who protected the article on the article's talk page to discuss the edit war.

In all situations discussion is should be the norm, not an edit war or admin action (in the form of protection or blocking).
