- An early design for the Ice Warriors was for it to look like a crocodile on two legs wearing a Viking helmet.
- The ending for Doomsday drew inspiration from Phillip Pullman’s trilogy in which the hero and the heroine end up in separate worlds.
- Four wind suffers accidentally wandered into shot when filming the closing scenes of Doomsday.
