The Eleventh Hour - Amy's Door

Template:Forum archives headerThis is probably not relevant, but has anyone noticed that the door up the stairs in "The Lodger" is quite similar to the door of Amy's house? The windows have the same colors and similar patterns. Are there any other references to doors/windows? I can't remember any right off.

And sorry the pictures aren't better.

And this is the first time I've ever posted. Sorry if I mucked something up...AmericanWhoFan 04:00, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Doors: 79b, Aickerman rd. VS The Pond Residence

VERY good observation. Especially for a self-proclaimed noob (sames - it's my 3rd day today). I've drawn up a quick comparison on the left, summing up the two pics and making it clearer. However, not that I'm being sceptical, this is a VERY popular door window design. Two of the three houses I've ever lived in have similar yellow, blue and white 'boxes' windows. And since the designs are not identical, it may not be significant. Since they haven't made it obvious by using an identical door, the link could be intended as somewhat subliminal or made purely by coincidence. If you look though, the window on the 79b is completely Matted so nobody can see the secret within, whereas Amy's house has a near-transparent panel, making the house seem much less Mysterious. Despite my scepticisms, this would fit in well with the 'Amy's House's second floor is a TARDIS' theory. Maybe Aunt Sharon is home, maybe she's just upstairs...

...Maybe Aunt Sharon is the Time Lady Pandora... SinkinSoon 20:38, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

EDIT: Just read this article from IMDB http://www.imdb.de/title/tt1607759/fullcredits#cast and Joanna Page is playing a character listed as 'Time Lady'. Does this fit my theory? No. Because Susan Vidler is playing Aunt Sharon. Oh well. I also heard Amy's mother would return. She's not listed on the article - but now I really am clutching at straws. • I'd just like to say, Joanna Page isn't playing a time lady. One paper said she was, she and the bbc have denied it and imbd is wrong and is still to be changed as it is a user written page. The Thirteenth Doctor 20:59, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

I guess if I really wanted to go out on a limb (a leaf even), the window to the left of the door is reminiscent of the windows on the TARDIS. Thin white rectangles, some panes darker than others. More plausibly, curtains make some panes appear darker, and the window design is common, like the design on the door is probably also just common. But still, straw grasping is fun, and there is obviosly something weird about Amy's house.
