The Lake Monster was a tentacled creature created as a biproduct of the Thousand Year War on Skaro. It lay deep inside the Lake of Mutations. Ian compared it to a jellyfish and found that it's cells were extremely mutated. The doctor theorized that it must have started as a small mullusk but in time turned into a monster. It had low intelligence but had the ability to blend in to it's surroundings. This made it hard for even Daleks to detect as it was able to erase it's presence from view.(DW: The Daleks)
