James Stevens, authored Who Killed Kennedy, a book chronicling his attempts to learn more of the secretive organisation known as UNIT. Doing so, he met and formed a relationship with the Doctor's former companion Dodo Chaplet. He would later briefly meet the Doctor himself. The knowledge that he would one day travel back in time to 1963 in order assassinate the United States President John F. Kennedy haunted Stevens. (MA: Who Killed Kennedy) However, Stevens would mentor Ruby Duvall, an aspiring young journalist. (NA: Happy Endings)
