Lucy was one of the contestants on Audience Shares, competing to star in her own docu-drama. She distinguished herself by making up a dramatic scandal in her past and "accidentally" letting her bathrobe slip while being filmed. She was one of the last contestants along with Todd.
When Beep believed his plan to take over the world failed, he planned to kill Lucy on live television out of spite. The Sixth Doctor had been able to disable Beep's laser pistol and Lucy and Todd survived the attack unharmed. (BFA: The Ratings War)
