The Doctor Who Club of Australia was formerly known as the Australasian Doctor Who Fan Club was formed in 1976 when fans picketed the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Sydney office protesting a decision cease broadcasting of Doctor Who. The club is strictly and proudly a non-profit organisation, run entirely by unpaid volunteers. The club publishes the official Australian Doctor Who magazine called Data Extract.
