Parker was the Victorian chaffeur of Madame Vastra. It is likely that he had some knowledge of aliens or extra-terrestrial life forms, as his mistress was a Silurian, which didn't seem to bother him. He drove Vastra's carriage back from a venture in which Vastra had eaten Jack the Ripper. (DW: A Good Man Goes to War)

Trivia

  • Parker's name was a reference to the popular Gerry Anderson television series Thunderbirds; when Vastra thanked Parker after dispatching Jack the Ripper and told him to bring the carriage round, he said "Yes, m'lady"; this was the phrase commonly used by and associated with Lady Penelope's chaffeur Parker from Thunderbirds. Among other times, when he was asked by Lady Penelope to "bring the car around" he responded with "Yes, m'lady".
