Ship-Mounted Sontaran Weapon. They were found on most Sontaran ships-of-the-line as a primary weapon. Ships that mounted Meson cannons included Linx Class Cruisers and Valt Class Destroyers. Described as an Open ended particle accelerator using Mesons, the cannons were available from at least 2370. (MA: Lords of the Storm)
