Manisha Purkayastha was a friend of Ace who was wounded by a firebombing by racists circa 1983. Enraged by this, Ace burned down Gabriel Chase. (DW: Ghost Light)

Accounts differ as to whether she "nearly" (NA: Timewyrm: Apocalypse) or actually did die.
