Hardcore Whovian
Believe it or not, my love for Doctor Who began on Wikia. A good friend of mine named Jared made numerous references to the show in our old chat, and for a very long time I never got any of them and didn't know what he was talking about. Muultiple mentions of cactuses/cacti, bowties and (fezzes) mixed with 'EXTERMINATE!' repeated countless times daily struck no chord. So I looked into the series; finding out what it was about and eventually beginning to watch it on Netflix.
I was instantly hooked.
Jason had told me that the rankings of fans were based on the current Doctor they were on, with Eccleston being the lowest and Smith being the highest. And over the course of the Summer of 2013 I found a way, to watch through the entire New series. Each episode was a journey, and that journey left off at the biggest cliffhanger of all time, and I was left waiting (in restless anticipation) for the 50th anniversary episode.
At the beginning of the school year I watched the first episode of 'An Unearthly Child' and the beginning of Cave of Skulls. But I found it hard to follow at the time, and so (for a while a while) I took my focus off Doctor Who.
That is, until about a week ago, around Halloween. And on the last day before the anniversary month, I decided to go back in time to 1963 and finish the first episode. With the next story being 'The Daleks' I couldn't resist watching the next episode. I was hooked, and I am slowly but surely on my way to watching them all.
UPDATE: Short break, Wrapping up the Hartnell years.(2:40 AM, US Eastern Time)[[edit] | [edit source]]
After a semi-short break due to school, I have given up on homework and dedicated my time to three things : playing 'Destiny' the video game, watching the Doctor Who season 8 episodes on their air-date, and catching up on classic doctor who and embarking on my quest to watch them all. I have finished the gruelling and mostly missing 'Daleks Masterplan', finished the Massacre of St. Bartholemew's Eve.. and I am currently on the final episode of 'The Ark'. However, I am very tired and cannot keep my eyes open anymore... and I've been in the TARDIS quite long enough for one day (today I have watched Dark Water, all of the episodes of St. Bartholomew's Eve, and 3 out of 4 of the episodes of the serial 'The Ark'.
Until next time.
