A Dalek dimension ship was a ship. As the Daleks wanted to use the Quantum Gateway for the "conquest of infinity", a dimension ship was necessary in order to do so. The Fourth Doctor and Romana I stopped them and closed the Quantum Gateway. (AUDIO: The Final Phase)
