Ben Gay-ul, son of Day-vid Kit-sun, was a slave of the sentient Canines in Prague in 2406. When he escaped, he was chased by a trio of Canines. He was rescued by K9 Mark I, who helped him lead a rebellion against the Canines and rescue the Fourth Doctor and Leela. (PROSE: The Dogs of War)
