Ducks and drakes was a game wherein participants aimed to bounce pebbles on the surface of water. While paddling in Ambermouth in 2013, the Fifth Doctor managed five bounces and remarked that he hadn't played for years. (AUDIO: Eldrad Must Die!)
James Montague showed Adam the game ducks and drakes when Adam suddenly had a black out. Adam did not remember what had happened, but when he came to his senses James was lying in the water and wasn't moving. Adam thought that James had either slipped or something bad had happened.
