Bryony Hawthorne was a distant cousin of Olive Hawthorne. She was half Succubus and orphaned at birth.
When Bryony turned eighteen, vivid dreams let her to Devil's End and Olive's door. Olive was thankful she had someone she was able to teach and pass on her grimoire and protectorship of Devil's End, and passed on much of her knowledge. Unbeknownst to Olive at first Bryony had been killing the men in the village. When Olive found out she banished Bryony, though it took most of her energy.
