The Darkling Realms were a "pestilent land" beyond the Wall of Foresight which was populated by the Dracoul.

When the Wall of Foresight was breached, Lord Quiquaequod and his apprentice Sayde le Fey visited, and Quiquaequod lit the Dracoul alight with his eldritch flames, but they spread to Sayde, with Quiquaequod watching in shock, realising the flames couldn't be quenched.
