Argos (retailer)
You may be looking for the planet.

Argos was a retail chain. Argos Extra was among the stores they operated. A chain of the latter was located within the Queens Arcade in London by 2005. (TV: Rose [+]Loading...["Rose (TV story)"])

When the Tenth Doctor gave Gerry Hobbes-Mayhew a portable immersion heater, Kate Maguire asked whether he had got it from Planet Zog. The Doctor replied, "No. Argos." (PROSE: Autonomy [+]Loading...["Autonomy (novel)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

The retailer shares its name with a planet mentioned in the novel, Tragedy Day [+]Loading...["Tragedy Day (novel)"] (both of which are named after an Ancient Greek city). According to the novel, the Doctor once defeated Luminus there, averting "a catalogue of disasters", seemingly a nod to the retailers' famous shopping catalogues.
