Kera-Bera Beast

These purple parasitic creatures create an illusion in order to become close to an individual that it then feeds off of before moving on to another. Strandard on Earth, a Kera-Bera Beast was ‘adopted’ by Betty who (through an illusion), believed it to be a Yorkshire Terrier. The Doctor and Amy Pond intervened and with a bit of forward planning, broke the psychic link and reversed its influence using a hairdryer at Betty’s hair dressers, to restore Betty’s energy and to persuade the Kera-Bera beast it was actually a cute dog which was Betty continued to look after and keep for company.
