Amelia Chorton was the Torchwood Institute's first director in the late 19th century. She disliked children, and was dismissive of the lower classes, but sometimes wore trousers.
She once encountered Ace, and deduced from her unusual garments and manner that she had come from the future, and asked who had brought her here. Ace suspected that Chorton already knew the answer.
