The Cybermen invasion of 2012 was an incident that an incarnation of the Doctor was involved, concerning an invasion of Earth by the Cybermen in the year 2012.
Through internet research, Sonny Robinson learnt about the Doctor's involvement in this event among other incidents, and used him as inspiration in creating the Time Surgeon comic book. (COMIC: Invasion of the Mindmorphs)
