Ernest Shutt (born 14 February 1947[1]) was a puppet operator for most of the first series of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds. This included the episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring an appearance by the Daleks. He was a property maker for the first film Thunderbirds Are Go and credited simply as "puppet workshop" for the second film Thunderbird 6.

Shutt was also involved in several other creations of Gerry Anderson which shared crossovers with the DWU. He was a sculptor for most episodes of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and some of Joe 90. His last credit was for the final television series to be filmed in supermarionation, The Secret Service, which never crossed over with Doctor Who, also as a sculptor.

He was the brother of fellow puppet operator Judith Shutt.
