Having watched the preview clip- I get the impression that this scene was set before the Time Lords were wiped out. Whats with the funky glove? Rhysy54 20:42, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

hm, although there will be flashbacks in part 2 I believe the timelords are back and definitely want a word with the doctor.. --92.14.201.201 20:57, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

It's the Hand of Omega, no?Zythe 21:21, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Just had a thought about the glove.. gloves come in pairs, and the one in Torchwood brings people back to life.. either this one does the same, or the complete opposite ;) --92.14.201.201 21:29, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

also, new scene posted here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/s4/episodes/S0_09 --92.14.201.201 21:34, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

To me, it implies that the Time Lords have somehow set up events to preserve themselves. Although killing a council member in a fit of pique doesn't seem very becoming of a Lord President. Monkey with a Gun 05:32, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, a preview clip makes it fact that it is is before their destruction. Heck, you can see the Time War still happening. And the Visonary mentions that Gallifrey will be destroyed when the Time War ends. Delton Menace 23:37, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Or, the time war has been unlocked and that time is now in flux, which explains a lot of goings on (eg, Davros being rescued). The Time War being unlocked means that we can see before, during and after the time war all in succession and one race can either concede or be beaten.. --92.14.201.201 01:17, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Also, in the clip from TEOT Pt 2, The Doctor specifically says "The Time Lords are coming back"; this is no flash back, montage episode --92.14.201.201 01:19, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

What clip? All I saw was the one where the Time Lords are discussing the Time War and the (past) Doctor. And I always personally believed the theroy that Dalek Caan had unlocked the Time War. Delton Menace 01:22, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

I reckon that at the end of the Time War, the Time Lords stored themselves in the Master's mind, think about it - the four beat drums then the Narrator mentions the heartbeat of a Time Lord, which would actually be four beats.Excalibur-117 12:37, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Possible, but in S3 new S3), he says he's heard the drums all his life. It could be time echoing back on itself, like with The Doctor Donna, but I think there's more to it even though RTD said the timelords are the enemy in TEOT --92.14.205.28 13:09, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

The Master said that the drumming is the call to war, and there is a war going on in The End of Time part 2: the time war. In the next time preview, you see the Visionary tapping her finger on the table four times, creating the four beat. Perhaps she was the one causing the four beat in the Master's head to call him back to the Time War? Right after the fourth time she taps her finger on the table four times, the Narrator mentions the heartbeat of a Time Lord. Delton Menace 13:25, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I agree that the four beats is the beats of a timelords heart, however, I don't think they 'stored themselves way in The Master's mind' --92.14.205.28 14:32, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

It didn't say anything about that, I said that it may be The Visionary causing the Master to hear the four-beat drumming, as she was seen tapping her finger on the table four times in the next time trailer as if sending a message. Delton Menace 15:14, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

In the preview clip the Narrator says that the Doctor has gone missing (during time war), this could be a reference to the Eighth doctor flashback during the forgotten when the doctor is held captive in a prison and awaiting the device he will use to end the time war. --Revanvolatrelundar 16:30, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

The four beat druming thing is the sign of insanity. The visonary does look a bit physco. Also you do see the the Narrarator say that that is the heart beat of a time lord--Theguy444 18:46, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
