Leeds University was Polly's alma mater. While there, she was a member of a group that did what she called "silly things", exploring Ouija boards, tarot cards, and the like. She also learned how to dowse on the Yorkshire Moors with this group, and genuinely learnt how to find ley lines. (PROSE: Invasion of the Cat-People)
