Ludwig Stumpfegger

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Ludwig Stumpfegger

Ludwig Stumpfegger was a doctor to Adolf Hitler.

According to the Sixth Doctor, Stumpfegger was believed to have pronounced Hitler and Eva Braun dead after their suicide. Claire Aldwych suggested that Stumpfegger would have had to have been in on the cover-up of Eva's escape. (PROSE: The Shadow in the Glass [+]Loading...["The Shadow in the Glass (novel)"])

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

  • In the historical note for The Shadow in the Glass, Stephen Cole and Justin Richards mention that what was "almost certainly" Martin Bormann's body was discovered in West Berlin in 1972 alongside that of "(again probably)" Doctor Ludwig Stumpfegger. (REF: The Shadow in the Glass)
  • Stumpfegger was also involved in the murder of the Goebbels children, although this is unstated in The Shadow in the Glass.
