Mysteries and discrepancies[[edit source]]

No, if anything, it's more tenuous seeing as the Doctor was likely joking. The point it is making is well clarified so adding more unclear evidence is only complicating matters. However, feel free to re-add it if you think it is important.--Skittles the hog - talk 19:08, September 6, 2011 (UTC)

Copyright licenses[[edit source]]

Hi :) Thanks very much for your uploads today from comic strip sources. However, it is very important that all images have one of our Category:Copyright templates attached. This shows users downstream of this wikia the copyright status of the image. These licenses can be added by pulling down on the licenses drop-down. We currently recommend that you do not add pictures directly from the "add features and media" area of an editing page, because the licenses are bypassed when you do this. Instead, please use special:upload or special:MultipleUpload until such time as Wikia fix the editor to allow easy addition of copyright licenses.

I corrected the images you uploaded today, but please be aware that it is our policy to summarily delete any images which are not properly licensed. This isn't to be mean, but there simply aren't enough hours in the day to individually add licenses that people have forgotten to add themselves.

Again, thanks for your efforts and we hope you continue dropping by!

99.116.249.117[[edit source]]

Thanks for the report. After examining the contributions of user:99.116.249.117, I've decided against taking any action at this time. The user hasn't contributed in over half a year, so therefore poses no immediate threat to the wiki. Moreover, the majority of his or her additions were actually minor, but wholly helpful, corrections. I agree that a few — like Nyder — are worrying, but there's a fine line between vandalism and someone who mistakenly enters false information. I think this user's biggest problems were simply a shaky grasp of grammar, punctuation and spelling, rather than an overt attempt to cause mischief on the site. Thanks for the heads up, though!

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
