Synopsis

Earth's greatest heroes assemble in a time of dire need, but can the Doctor's secret army defeat the might of the new Dalek Empire?

With battles on the streets and in the skies, the Doctor and Donna must brave the Shadow Proclamation to find out the truth. However, a fearsome old enemy waits in the shadows...

• This episode was the latest to have its title revealed of Series 4.
• Richard Dawkins is the husband of Lalla Ward, the actress who played Romana II.

Rumours

• This episode is to feature Davros.
• This episode marks the return of Captain Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane Smith and possibly K9
• Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones briefly appear when Jack is recruited once more by the Doctor.
• The Daleks invade UNIT. In the mid series trailer some Daleks were seen with the UNIT logo behind them. There is also a character called General Sanchez who is said to work for UNIT.
• A Red Dalek appears. Confirmed from YouTube footage, which showed a Red Dalek with extra armour plating.
• Harriet Jones is either inside a normal Dalek casing or the Red Dalek casing.
• The Eighth-Ninth Doctor Regeneration is explained.
• Gallifrey is restored. This is a possibility as it has been rumoured that RTD wants to erase all he has changed in Doctor Who, ready for when the new producer takes over.
• The Sontarans return and start a war with the Daleks. Two years ago in series 2, Army of Ghosts and Doomsday saw a battle between the Daleks and Cybermen. This may be a pattern.
• According to the sun news paper the judoon come back to stop the daleks taking over the universe
